Atlas 11+

Anywhere in the UK

Online 11+ tutoring

One-to-one and small-group 11+ lessons, live on Microsoft Teams — for GL Assessment and Quest tests, wherever you live.

Start with the right test

The 11+ isn't one exam

Different areas and schools use different providers and papers. So the first thing we do is find out exactly which test your child will sit — then plan every lesson around it.

GL Assessment

Used by many grammar schools across England. Papers vary by area — usually English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning, and sometimes Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Quest Assessments

A newer provider setting the 11+ for a growing number of schools — including the four Dorset grammar schools from September 2027. Some questions need more than one answer.

We focus on multiple-choice 11+ tests. If your school sets its own paper, tell us — we'll look at the format together and be honest about whether we're the right fit.

What we teach

Every 11+ subject, matched to your test

English

Comprehension, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation and grammar.

Maths

Fast, accurate arithmetic and multi-step problem-solving.

Verbal Reasoning

Word meanings, analogies, codes, letter patterns and logic.

Non-Verbal Reasoning

Shapes, patterns and spatial reasoning — for tests that include it.

How it works

What online lessons look like

  • Live, not recorded — Real lessons on Microsoft Teams, with shared on-screen lesson pages — your child is taught and questioned in real time.
  • One-to-one or a small group — Lessons built around your child, or learning alongside a few others — we'll recommend the right fit.
  • Practice in the right format — Timed practice papers in the style of your child's test, including the answer sheet.
  • Parents kept in the loop — Regular progress updates, honest feedback and, after one-to-one lessons, a short chat with you, so you always know where things stand.

Online 11+ FAQs

Questions, answered

Does online 11+ tutoring really work?

For most children, yes. Lessons are live, not recorded, so your child is taught, questioned and encouraged in real time, using the same on-screen lesson pages we'd use face to face. There's no travel, and lessons are easier to fit around family life.

Which areas do you cover?

Anywhere in the UK, online. Our local focus is the four Dorset grammar schools and Salisbury, but we also teach families preparing for GL and Quest tests elsewhere.

Do you teach non-verbal reasoning?

Yes, for tests that include it. The Dorset test doesn't, but many GL tests do — we plan around the papers your child will actually sit.

What if our school sets its own test?

Tell us which school it is. We focus on multiple-choice 11+ tests; if yours is different — written answers, for example — we'll look at the format with you and be honest about whether we're the right fit.

How do we get started?

Book a free assessment. We'll check which test your child is sitting, see where they stand, and recommend one-to-one lessons, a small group or a mix.

Ready to find the right plan?

Book a free, no-obligation assessment — tell us which test your child is sitting and we'll show you where they stand.
